this article will consider ways to use English-language materials in the development of universal competence of future teachers. The article highlights the importance of English language literature, scientific articles, films, video and audio materials, as well as online platforms in introducing prospective teachers to global cultures, pedagogy and modern knowledge. Prospective teachers can upgrade their pedagogical approaches by developing the skills of analysis, critical thinking and cultural thinking through English language materials. The article describes modern methodologies aimed at increasing the overall cultural and social competencies of prospective teachers through English-language resources.
