This article discusses the main fish species consumed by the population in Uzbekistan, their biological characteristics, nutritional value, and economic importance. It provides an overview of the distribution of naturally occurring and artificially cultivated fish species in the country’s water bodies, their dietary composition, health benefits, and role in aquaculture. In addition, the prospects for the development of the fisheries sector are considered.References
